Northview Park and Splashpad
Northview Park is a half-acre park mini paradise of fun! With an array of playground structures nestled in a lush, grassy area, you’ll find shaded spots and comfy benches all around. Unleash your inner FIFA champ at the soccer field, or splash into summer fun at our Splashpad!
The Splashpad, located within Northview Park at 100 Randolph Plaza Dr, opens for the 2026 season on April 6th, and is open daily thru October. Pavilions are available to reserve year-round.
Daily Splashpad Hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Toddlers will delight in the gentle spray of water jets, families can enjoy dodging the bursts from a towering 23-foot spider, and teens can conquer the thrill of the Superwave! Spanning 4,000 square feet and with 16 exciting water features, there's endless fun for everyone to enjoy.
The features are grouped into three levels: Toddler Bay, Family Bay, and Teen Bay.
Whether you're visiting the splash pad for a sprinkle or a soak, it’s the place to be for summer fun in the Universal City area.

Northview Park Pavilion A
Pavilion A is about 450 square feet with two picnic tables, ADA compliant, and has a 25 person max capacity. Located between the park and the splashpad.
Splash Park Pavilions are reservable in four hour increments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. You may reserve for all day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for an additional $100 fee.
Splash Pad will open tentatively on April 21. You may still reserve and use the pavilions year-round.

Splash Park Pavilions are reservable in four hour increments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. You may reserve for all day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for an additional $100 fee.

Northview Splashpad
The Northview Splash Pad is 4,000 square feet and cannot be reserved. Only the pavilions are available for reservations.
FAQs:
Q: Is the Splashpad open every day?
A: During operating season, the Splashpad is open daily. This starts tentatively in April through October from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Q: If it is raining, will the Splashpad still be open?
A: The Splashpad will remain open unless rain is accompanied by lightning and thunder, in which case the Splashpad will be shut down until the inclement weather passes.
Q: Is the Splashpad free to use?
A: Yes! The Splashpad is a feature of the Universal City Northview Park and open to the public. Please take care of it.
Q: The water is not on, is it closed?
A: The water features are on a timer and need to be activated by pressing one of the three activators around the Splashpad. The activators will not work outside the operating hours. Please call Public Works for assistance if the Splashpad is not working during operating hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 210-658-5364.
Q: Can I have a birthday party at the Splashpad?
A: You're welcome to throw a party in the park by reserving one of our pavilions! While the Splashpad area isn't available for reservations, feel free to enjoy it along with the blue-shaded areas, which are open to everyone and perfect for a fun day out.
Q: Can I take food to the Splashpad?
A: Yes! Just like a trip to the park, you are welcome to bring your own food. Please remember that no food or beverages are allowed within six feet of the Splashpad.
Q: Is there shade?
A: The Splashpad features two areas with blue-shaded covers. These areas are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be reserved.
Q: Are there restrooms?
A: Yes, there are restrooms and changing rooms available in the park for everyone. Please refrain from using the restrooms in the library, as wet clothing or swimsuits are not permitted inside the building.
