Universal City Parks

Universal City is proud to have parks that are fun for all—sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, and families looking for playground fun! 

Universal City offers a variety of fun event spaces, including covered pavilions for 30-100 people and an indoor clubhouse for up to 50 guests, perfect for gatherings and special events.

The Parks staff is dedicated to maintaining top-notch outdoor spaces and recreational facilities for Universal City residents!

Basic Park Rules:

  • No glass containers.
  • No parking on the grass.
  • Pet owners must clean up after their pet promptly and properly.
  • Pets must remain on a leash and are not permitted on any of the ball fields, courts or the splashpad.
  • No confetti, glitter, water balloons, or small loose decorations allowed.
  • No open fires or outside BBQ pits. 
  • No slip n' slides or bounce castles with water features. 

If you see a problem or have a concern about the parks, please contact the Public Works Department, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 210-658-5364.

Park Facility Reservations & Pavilion/Clubhouse Key Pickup

Reservations are REQUIRED for private events such as birthday parties, family cookouts, or any large gathering/celebration. 

All reservations must be made at least five days prior to the event date. An account must be created to make a reservation with only one name in each account.

To cancel your reservation, a written request must be made a minimum of 10 days prior to the event date. Any cancellation requests received under the 10-day requirement will result in forfeiture of rental fees.

Organized play or tournament play REQUIRES a contract, proof of insurance, and payment of all applicable fees. Please call Public Works at 210-658-5364 for more information. 

The City of Universal City is not responsible for damage or loss of personal property by anyone hosting, participating in, or attending activities scheduled by an individual or organization. 

ID Requirements for Pavilion & Clubhouse Key Pickup

To ensure a smooth and secure process, residents picking up a key for a reserved pavilion or the Neville Clubhouse must provide a valid photo ID at the time of pickup.

We understand that our  community includes residents from a variety of backgrounds, including military families and out-of-state visitors.  Because of that, the Universal City Public Works Department accepts a broad range of acceptable identification:

* State-issued driver's license or ID card (from any U.S. state or territory)

* Valid U.S. Passport

* U.S. Military ID

* Permanent resident (green) card

* Valid foreign passport

* Valid consular ID

Proof of Address if requesting an in-city resident rate:

Some IDs may not include a residential address.  If your reservation rate is contingent upon proof of Universal City residency, we may ask for a second document: 

* Utility bill

* Lease agreement
