Employee Benefits

THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS ARE AVAILABLE TO ALL ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES:

Three plans are available to full-time employees - PPO, HMO, and a High-Deductible Plan.

A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is provided in conjunction with the HMO plan. The City contributes the premium difference between the PPO and HMO plans to the employee's HRA account. However, if the employee elects to cover dependents under the plan, the City's contribution is applied toward the dependent premium costs rather than being deposited into the HRA.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is provided in conjunction with the High-Deductible Plan. The City contributes the premium difference between the PPO and High-Deductible Plans to the employee's HSA account.  However, if the employee elects to cover dependents under the plan, the City's contribution is applied toward the dependent premium costs rather than being deposited into the HSA.

Premiums for employee coverage are paid by the City.  Premiums for dependent coverage are paid by the employee.
