Lost or Stolen Library Cards


Please notify the library as soon as possible if a library card has been lost or stolen. Library staff will block the account until the patron purchases a new card. Patrons are responsible for use of their lost or stolen card prior to notifying the library. There is a $1.00 replacement fee for lost or stolen library cards.

Late Returns


The library charges $0.05 per item per day for overdue Juvenile items and $1.00 per item per day for overdue videos/DVDs. The library charges $0.10 per item per day for all other items. The maximum fine allowed per item is $2.00 for overdue Juvenile items, $5.00 per item for overdue videos/DVDs, and $5.00 per item for all other overdue items. Library accounts will be frozen when fine limits are over $2.00 or an item is overdue. Patrons with frozen accounts may not check out any library items and may not use any word processing or Internet computer in the library until all overdue items are returned and the fine limit is at or below $2.00.

Lost Materials


Patrons are responsible for reimbursement to the library for any items lost while checked out on their library card. Replacement costs of library items which includes the list price of the lost item and a $2.00 ($5.00 fees for audio/visual materials) processing fee. The processing fee is used to cover the costs of purchasing, cataloging, and processing replacement items. The library does not accept replacements for lost materials.

Damaged Materials


Patrons are responsible for reimbursement to the library for any items damaged while checked out on their library card. The library charges $2.00 for repairable damages to library items. However, if an item is damaged beyond repair, the patron is responsible for the replacement costs of library items which includes the list price of the lost item and a $2.00 ($5.00 fees for audio/visual materials) processing fee. The library does not accept replacements for damaged materials.
